Providing waste reduction education and conducting WasteWise outreach
are the primary functions of the WasteWise endorser program. WasteWise
offers many resources to help you spread the WasteWise message.
Below are several ideas to get your program started.
Use the WasteWise Logo
Increasing recognition of the WasteWise logo in the business community
and among the general public helps spread the image of WasteWise
and the message it represents. As an endorser, you can play a key
role in increasing the use and recognition of the WasteWise logo.
WasteWise encourages its endorsers to use the logo to demonstrate
their partnership with WasteWise, and provides suggestions in Creative
Ways to Use the WasteWise Logo. To use the logo, please review
the guidelines
for logo use and download
the logo in your preferred format. The following are a few ways
you can use the logo.
On your Web site
The logo serves as a perfect accompaniment to a description of your
organization's environmental outreach efforts.

Include WasteWise in Your Publications

program, it also demonstrates your organization's partnership with
EPA.

Distribute WasteWise Information
Promotional Materials
WasteWise provides endorsers with copies of promotional materials
to distribute in mailings, during face-to-face visits, at conferences
and trade shows, or when giving a WasteWise presentation. A fundamental
tool for WasteWise endorsers is the general WasteWise information
packet, which provides background information about the program
including the most recent WasteWise Annual Report, a marketing flyer,
a brochure describing the WasteWise Web site, and a registration
form. These packets can also be tailored by adding Industry
Sector Publications.
Technical Assistance Materials
Endorsers also distribute technical assistance materials which
help their members and constituents address specific solid waste
issues, give examples of the type of assistance WasteWise provides,
and demonstrate the potential for cost savings and greater efficiency
through waste reduction. These materials include industry sector
case studies, fact sheets, and other WasteWise publications.
Ordering Materials
Visit the Publication
Directory to access electronic versions of the materials we
can provide, or call the WasteWise Helpline at (800) EPA-WISE to
order printed copies of these materials.
