WasteWise recognizes the contributions of its endorsers through the Endorser of the Year Award, case studies of superior endorser programs, and highlights of endorser activities in WasteWise publications. To be considered for recognition in one of our regular publications, be sure to keep us informed of your efforts!

South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control

The 2000 WasteWise Endorser of the Year, South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control promoted waste reduction across South Carolina by developing a WasteWise display and an extensive WasteWise Web site.

City of Clifton, New Jersey

WasteWise named the City of Clifton, New Jersey, a 2000 WasteWise Endorser Program Champion for its use of the WasteWise logo and distribution of WasteWise materials to local businesses

Endorser of the Year Award

All endorsers that have been active in the program for at least one year and have submitted WasteWise endorser commitments are eligible to apply for the Endorser of the Year award.

Applying for an Award

WasteWise accepts awards applications during the annual reporting season, which is in the spring of each year. Awards packets containing applications and supplemental program information are distributed to both partners and endorsers. To be considered for an award, endorsers must complete an application form and submit supporting materials describing their efforts to promote the WasteWise program.

Applications may be submitted electronically or in hard copy. To access the online application form, please visit the Awards section. Hard copy forms may be submitted via fax or mail.

Evaluation Criteria

Promotional Activities (40 percent)
Please describe your activities to promote WasteWise to other organizations last year. WasteWise focuses on the scope and frequency of your activities.

Promotional Results (60 percent)
Please discuss the results of your organization's promotional activities last year. WasteWise focuses on the number of new and prospective WasteWise partners that resulted from your promotional efforts.
