The waste reduction team consists of employees responsible for
maintaining your waste reduction programplanning, designing,
and implementing activities. By forming a team, numerous employees
in various departments can share in your organization's waste reduction
efforts. The size of your team will depend on the size of your organization
and its individual departments/operations.
Members might be responsible for activities such as:
- Working with your organization's management to set the preliminary
and long-term goals of the waste reduction program.
- Gathering and analyzing information relevant to the design
and implementation of the program.
- Promoting the program to other employees and educating them
on ways to participate.
- Monitoring program progress.
- Reporting to management about the status of the program.
- Reporting to WasteWise on the organization's waste reduction
efforts.
