The WasteWise Awards Program commends the efforts and achievements
of outstanding organizations. Awards are presented to partners in
several categories, including business, government, and educational
sectors. Note: You must apply for a WasteWise award to be eligible
to win. Awards applications, written statements, and supporting
materials are due on March 31, 2008.

Applications must be fully completed for consideration, so please make sure you have submitted all materials listed on the second page of the Award Application. Note that each award category, excluding Endorser of the Year, requires the submission of complete annual assessment data .
For all WasteWise Partners and Endorsers who have joined in the last year (since March 31, 2007) we welcome you to the program. While you are not eligible for an Award until you have been an active participant for at least one year, we hope you can use the 2008 Awards Application package to prepare for the 2009 Awards Program. We look forward to hearing about your achievements at this time next year!
Partner of the Year
The WasteWise Partner of the Year Award recognizes overall waste
reduction achievements, efforts to purchase or manufacture recycled-content
products, and activities to promote WasteWise. To be eligible for
Partner of the Year, members participating in the program for at
least one year must submit their WasteWise Assessment Form containing
annual data and documenting WasteWise activities.
Endorser of the Year
Endorsers receive special recognition for outstanding efforts
to promote the WasteWise Program to members of their associations
and success in recruiting new partners. All endorsers that have
been active in WasteWise for at least one year and have submitted
WasteWise endorser commitments are eligible.
Gold Achievement Awards
Gold Achievement awards recognize WasteWise partners' achievements in focus areas. These awards acknowledge success in areas such as climate change, paper reduction, product stewardship, and organic material reduction. Please note that two new categories have been added the Gold Achievement category for the 2008 Awards Program: Public Venue Recycling and Recycling in the Workplace.
