Baseline Data
EPA asks new WasteWise partners to submit baseline waste reduction
data within two months of joining the program. By establishing this
baseline and reporting it to WasteWise, your organization will not
only be equipped to measure future progress of your waste reduction
efforts, but also be able to effectively focus on reduction areas.
Your WasteWise goals define the scope and focus of your organization's
waste reduction programs.
Annual Data
WasteWise partners should annually report their WasteWise-related
activities to help your organization and EPA better understand your
WasteWise activities. As you complete the WasteWise Assessment Form
each year, you will be able to see how far you have come as a partner
and how much progress you have made towards your goals. New goals
may be set annually, allowing greater flexibility in your organization's
WasteWise program.
Letting others know about successes and progress
toward WasteWise Program goals is equally important, and it is a
great reward for a job well done. WasteWise continues to make reporting
as rewarding and simple as possible for partners. Partners submitting
annual data are eligible to apply for WasteWise
awards and will receive a certificate commending their organization
for reporting annual achievements.
There are two ways to complete and submit
the WasteWise Assessment Form, in hard copy and via the Electronic
Reporting System.
